How to start Freezone Company in Dubai?

1. Chose the type of company

It is possible to set up two types of companies in the Freezones:

  • Free Zone Limited Liability Company (FZ LLC) or Free Zone Company (FZ Co.)
  • Free Zone Establishment (FZE)

The key difference is in the number of shareholders and type of shareholders.

2. Choose & register the trade name

The next step is to choose a trade name that meets the requirements of the respective Freezone, in addition to being unique. Some of the restrictions on naming the company:

  • in accordance with the public morals or the public order of the country
  • must be followed by the legal form of the company, for example (LLC, FZE, DMCC etc.)
  • Is unique (not registered before)
  • Should not have UAE or name of any of the Emirates in the trade name
  • should not contain names of any religion, or governing authority, nor names or logos of any external bodies.
