01 — Mandate

A digital asset entrepreneur with significant holdings across multiple blockchain networks and equity stakes in early-stage Web3 ventures engaged EXILLIUM to design a compliant, bankable structure capable of consolidating and protecting his wealth while supporting future investment activity.

02 — Structure Deployed

EXILLIUM designed a layered architecture comprising: (i) a Jersey Trust as the apex vehicle for long-term asset protection and succession planning; (ii) a BVI Holdco beneath the Trust to hold equity participations in digital asset ventures; (iii) a DIFC Prescribed Company as the UAE-facing operational layer for residency, regulated counterparty relationships, and local contracting; and (iv) a DIFC Foundation established in parallel as a governance and philanthropic vehicle, ring-fencing a portion of digital asset proceeds for structured deployment. A DMCC Free Zone company was incorporated to handle day-to-day advisory mandates, service agreements, and invoicing, providing clean and auditable revenue flows for financial institution presentation.

03 — Banking & Investment Access

EXILLIUM introduced the client to two private banks with established digital asset capabilities, facilitating onboarding for both fiat and crypto custody. The client secured a private banking relationship covering portfolio management, structured lending against digital asset collateral, and access to tokenised investment products.

04 — Outcome

Full structure operational within 14 weeks. All entities connected through a coherent legal and tax framework validated by independent counsel in Jersey and the UAE. Private banking relationship with digital asset custody and lending facilities fully established.
