- The Client Situation
01 — Mandate
A French UHNWI family engaged EXILLIUM to design a consolidated holding architecture for assets spread across France, the United States, and the UAE, with no existing structure in place and imminent succession planning requirements.
- Layered Architecture
02 — Structure Deployed
EXILLIUM designed a layered architecture anchored by a Jersey Trust as the apex vehicle, providing asset protection and estate planning flexibility across jurisdictions. A BVI Holdco was incorporated beneath the Trust to hold equity participations and facilitate efficient profit distribution. A DIFC Prescribed Company was established as the UAE-facing operational layer, enabling local residency, regulated counterparty relationships, and compliant intra-group contracting.
- End-to-End Execution
03 — Banking & Advisory Coordination
EXILLIUM introduced the family to a Swiss private bank for consolidated relationship banking covering the full asset base. Independent legal counsel in Jersey and the UAE validated the structure for tax and regulatory compliance. All sequencing — from Trust deed execution to bank account activation — was managed by EXILLIUM as lead coordinator.
- Results Delivered
04 — Outcome
Full structure operational within 90 days. Private banking relationship established. Estate planning framework in place across three jurisdictions.
