Firm

An advisory firm for capital that does not sit in one place.

EXILLIUM was established to hold a single relationship across the jurisdictions a private client or an international group actually operates in, rather than dividing it between one provider in each.

Most of the firm’s work begins where an existing arrangement has stopped matching the circumstances it was built for. A principal has moved. A family has grown. A group has signed in a market where it holds no entity. The documents are not wrong so much as out of date, and the cost of leaving them that way is usually discovered at a bank.

EXILLIUM advises on where a structure should sit, establishes it, and then administers it for as long as it is needed. The firm holds the file, not a fragment of it.

The firm in brief

  • Licensed in the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre.
  • Four offices: Dubai, London, Marbella, Rabat.
  • Clients advised in English, French, Spanish and Arabic.
  • Ten service lines, set out in the engagement terms.
  • One senior lead per mandate, from first discussion onward.

How the firm is organised

Four offices, one file.

Dubai · Headquarters
The licensed entity and the compliance function. All engagement terms are issued from Dubai, and the client file is held here whatever the jurisdictions involved. Coverage: the Middle East.
London · Regional office
Coordination with counsel, banks and tax advisers across the United Kingdom and Western Europe, and the point of contact for clients whose affairs are administered in that time zone.
Marbella · Regional office
Southern Europe and Latin America, including principals holding property and residency in Spain and groups operating between Iberia and the Americas.
Rabat · Regional office
Africa, covering market entry, holding structures and banking for groups operating across the continent and for families with interests in both Africa and the Gulf.

How the firm works

Mandates are led by principals of the firm, not passed to an account team.

The senior member of the firm who takes the first discussion holds the mandate through structuring, execution and the administration that follows. The client is not asked to reconstruct the history of the structure at each new instruction, and no part of the file is handed to a service desk.

Standards

The firm’s approach to documentation, licensing and the limits of its own scope is set out in full, rather than summarised in a footer.

Engagement

Every mandate follows the same four stages, with fees and scope agreed in writing before execution begins.
